about nick blanton

This past year has marked exponential growth for Nick Blanton. From shaping the launch of Krackin to serving as executive producer and beat contributor on six tracks from Lamar by Lamar Adot Thomas, his work is resonating across genres. He has also collaborated with Mexican prodigy KIKIIII on the Chesko-produced “Dimelo” and “Se Fue,” and recorded with Christian rapper Willl Parkr on his project Servant. Known for his ability to elevate projects and support artists, Nick continues to expand his horizons and refine his craft.

A trombone player in his formative years and ever-passionate about music and recording, Nick never lost sight of his love for music even as he laid the foundation for his career with college coursework in theater, scenic design, and production. Driven by his creative spirit and a growing affinity for the behind-the-scenes of music making, in a calculated leap, he pivoted to pursue his calling: audio engineering. Nick enrolled in Los Angeles’ Recording Connection, which placed him at Dallas’s premiere studio, Luminous Sound.

Under the mentorship of Latin Grammy-winning producer Francesco “Chesko” Benvenuto, Nick honed his technical and creative skills, earning Pro Tools and Ableton certifications, mastering the SSL 9000J console, and gaining hands-on experience tracking and recording. Promoted to recording engineer, he has since taken on responsibilities including session prep, recording, mixing, post-session processing, and artist development.

Respected for his agility, professionalism, and discerning ear, Nick thrives in high-pressure studio environments and is trusted by both emerging and established talent. A true team player and creative at heart, he is committed to pushing boundaries and delivering excellence.
